The Old Age Home - II

Image
Ambika Sharma was 21 years old when she married, approximately 24 years old when she gave birth to her first child, a girl who died within an hour of her birth, 26 years old when she gave birth to a baby boy, and 31 years old when her husband died, making her a widow. She and her 4.5-year-old son were detached from the rest of the world. After choosing to devote her entire life to her child, Ambika never married again. Ambika's in-laws kicked her out of the house six months after her husband died, and even her father's house refused to welcome her. Ambika was now frail and alone, unsure of what to do. She even attempted suicide by jumping off the bridge, but she was unsuccessful. She had had enough of being weak and Ambika dragged herself up and began looking for tiny jobs after sleeping on the road for 5 days. She began by working for the garbage guy, who paid her 20 rupees a day for collecting empty cans, bottles, and plastics. Fortunately, the garbage guy let her sleep in th...

ADOLF HITLER : Before finding his source of joy

Image
Aren't we all familiar with Adolf Hitler? Well,  he was or is known as "WOLF".I grew up listening to legends of Hitler conquering Germany and virtually the entire world as a child. The scoundrel whose photo was on the history page of my social book, the ruler of death who showed no mercy. Adolf Hitler was born on  April 20 in Braunau am inn, Austria. Adolf  was the son of Alois Schickelgruber Hitler and his third wife Klara Poelzl. Alois was an Austrian customs official.   Hitler spent most of his childhood in Linz. As a child, Hitler was a very  disgruntled, unhappy youngster when he was young, he was also  Moody and sluggish . However, He dreaded his father greatly. Yes," THE ADOLF HITLER" was terrified of his father, but he adored his mother, who was one of his closest.  He dropped out of school at the age of sixteen, aspiring to be a painter.  Yes, you read that correctly. Hitler had no intention of hurting anyone at first; all he wanted ...

The toxic myths about "MENSTRUATION"

Image
I'm not sure, but I believe I was in grade 5 or 6 when I got my first period, and our school hadn't gave us much  knowledge about menstruation . However, I was aware that menstruation exists, and that when we have one, we must use a component called a "PAD" to ignore the bloodstain on our clothing.    Well, unlike many of my friends or many girls here in Nepal, I didn't go through a lot when I first had my period. Nothing really changed for me; I wasn't told "I could not really do this or that," neither was I locked in a room for days.  I had no idea these problems existed until one of my friends told me she had to leave her house for five days during her first period, and I was puzzled. She also mentioned that she wasn't allowed to see Sun, including male family members, which puzzled me again. Possibly because I wasn't told to so, I felt I was hearing a story that belongs to some other world. However, this sparked my curiosity, and I began ...

The Old Age Home-I

Image
"The Nursing Home," or "The Old Age Home," is a facility designed specifically for elderly people over the age of 55 or 60. Old age homes have become increasingly common in recent years in a variety of countries. Some people decide to go there on their own, and others are compelled to. From the outside, Old Age Home appears to be a typical retirement home. Most people who have never visited an old age home believe it is filthy and that the residents are tortured, but the truth is that old age homes are heavens overflowing with love and stories. Fascinating stories of a wide range of feelings and experiences. Today I'd like to tell you about a grandfather who has no regrets in his life and prefer to live in an old age home. Shiyam Prasad was a Nepalese government official. He was nearly 60 years old when he retired and decided to move to Brindavan with his wife to spend the rest of his life in peace. Although he had three children, two sons, and one daughter, he...

MATRIARCHY:The Society Ruled By Women

Image
What Is Matriarchy?? For those who are unfamiliar with Matriarchy, it is a culture or group ruled by women. Yes, you read that perfectly: there is a culture ruled by women in the very same world as us. You may also be unaware of this because we live in a patriarchal society where we rarely consider women running the society despite having a female President.  Anyway, I find matriarchal cultures fascinating, mostly because I am not a member of that culture and do not agree with how things are done on my own. Despite the fact that I have never visited one, I would love to live in a matriarchal society someday, even if just for a short time. However, I'm sure that every woman out there, whether aware of the "MATRIARCHAL" or not, has fantasized about being a part of it, for the sake of their own well-being. Matriarchal Societies Around The World 1.Mosuo China  Near Lugu Lake in the Tibetan Himalayas, the Mosuo have a population of around 50,000 people. The child born in Mosuo...

Evolution Of Period Products

Image
In today's day, we cannot imagine our life or say our days of menstruation "the 4-6 days of bleeding" without pads, buffers, measuring cups, and other health products. But what about Ancient women? Have you ever thought about how they spent their average 5-day cycle of mensuration without these products? What did they use until Pads?  Yes, almost all of us think they used pieces of clothes and yes that’s right, but clothes weren’t the only thing that they used to avoid the strains in their clothes.  Let's find out what they actually used.         ANCIENT PERIOD PRODUCTS In Japan, women used papers to absorb blood.  Likewise , Women  in Egypt used papyrus as tampons.  While in ancient Greece and the women of Rome wrapped lint around the wood to create buffers. Whereas Native American women's used pad made out of moss and buffalo skin. In some parts of the World, Women even used  rags, cotton, or sheep’s wo...
